Grants give boost in health crisis

Beverley Community Lift has been given a welcome financial boost in the Coronavirus crisis from two organisations. 

The Edward Gostling Foundation, has awarded BCL £5,000 to help with running costs. It is supporting smaller charities to cope with the loss of income in this difficult period and says it is focusing on providing help to charities working on the front line.

Meanwhile, the Two Ridings Community Foundation has announced a grant of £2,000, again from funds for groups affected by the COVID 19 crisis.

Manager Fiona Wales says: "We can't thank both organisations enough for this much-needed and generous support in such unprecedented times, without which we would be facing an uncertain future."
